AI/ML Researchers
About the role
We are seeking AI/ML Researchers to join our team and contribute to advancing the state of the art in LLM inference and evaluation. You will work on challenging problems in AI quality optimization and develop novel approaches to make AI systems more reliable and interpretable.
You'll work directly with the founding team. As an early hire, you'll have high autonomy and visibility, and play a central role in product, research, and engineering strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on LLM quality assessment and optimization.
Design and implement novel evaluation methodologies and metrics.
Develop new approaches for multi-model inference routing and quality prediction.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement and validate research findings.
Publish research findings in academic conferences and journals.
Stay current with latest developments in LLM research and evaluation techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in AI/ML research, including work with LLMs or NLP systems.
Strong background in deep learning, transformer architectures, or related areas.
Experience with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
Published research, thesis work, or significant projects in relevant areas.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD with focus on NLP, LLMs, or model evaluation.
Publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP, etc.).
Experience with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or model evaluation.
Knowledge of AI safety, interpretability, or robustness research.
Experience with distributed training and large-scale experiments.
Previous research internships or positions at leading AI labs.
